Craft Beer, Wine and Fermented Drinks Brewing Kits Leader Seeks Advisors in DIY/Hobby/Garden Retail

Growth Europe

About the company

A leading European supplier of ingredients, equipment and kits for home brewing, home winemaking, cider, mead and a broad range of fermented drinks such as kombucha and kefir serves consumers and professionals across Europe through its own e-commerce platforms and distribution activities.

The company sees a growing opportunity in the DIY and Hobby & Garden retail channel. A number of DIY and garden-centre chains already offer fermentation-related products, but complete kits combining ingredients and the required equipment to make craft drinks at home are still available only to a very limited extent.

The ambition is to develop an extensive, seasonally rotating assortment of craft-drinks concepts for large retail chains in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Nordics, Spain, Italy and potentially other European countries.

The assortment will offer consumers creative and accessible ways to get started: brewing a variety of beer recipes at home, making wine from concentrates or their own grape juice, making cider from apple juice or home-harvested apples, and producing kombucha, kefir and other fermented drinks.

The goal is to build structural, long-term partnerships with leading DIY, hobby and garden-centre chains.

What they are looking for

The company is looking for Advisors or Partners with hands-on experience in the DIY and Hobby & Garden retail sector in Europe who can:
• Think along on the composition and seasonal rotation of the assortment.
• Advise on pricing, discount structures and the supporting marketing, merchandising and service model for retail partners.
• Use their network and experience to open doors with buying and category teams of large retail chains and help close these deals.

The ideal Advisor has an established network among buyers, category managers and senior decision-makers at DIY and Hobby & Garden chains in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and potentially other European countries, combined with a strong understanding of how these retailers select, launch and support new concepts and seasonal ranges.

The company is looking for hands-on commercial involvement rather than purely strategic advice. Advisors should be willing to leverage their network, facilitate introductions, support negotiations and actively contribute to developing and closing partnerships.

The company wants to structure this as a revenue-sharing collaboration: the Advisor or Venture Partner will be compensated through a commission or a share in the margin realized on the projects they help develop and close.
