About the company
This Nordic company builds self-driving pallet jack for practical human-in-the-loop automation of floor-level pallet transport in warehouses and factories (manual when you, autonomous when you want).
What they are looking for
The company is looking for a fractional CFO with strong CFO-level experience in venture-backed tech companies to lead fundraising and strengthen financial planning, investor communication, and governance.
Role overview
Strategic, part-time CFO advisory role focused on fundraising, shareholder reporting, and financial planning/compliance. Day-to-day bookkeeping, accounting operations, and payments are handled by external provider.
Key responsibilities
• Fundraising (priority): drive the end-to-end process from investor targeting to close.
• Shareholder/board reporting (priority): KPIs, runway, budget vs. actuals, forecast, milestones, cap table.
• Financial planning: operating model, scenarios, cash management and runway planning.
• Governance and compliance: controls, statutory requirements, coordination with external accountants/advisors.
Ideal candidate profile
• CFO/VP Finance experience in tech startups (venture-backed preferred); robotics/industrial automation a plus.
• Proven track record raising capital (seed and/or Series A) and running diligence and negotiations.
• Strong investor relations and storytelling; can connect product, traction, and unit economics.
• Fluent in cap tables, dilution, and common financing instruments (equity, convertibles, venture
debt).
• Based in Europe; comfortable working with a Nordic company and traveling when needed.
• Experience with manufacturing unit economics (BOM/COGS, inventory, gross margin) and channel/partner sales models is a plus.
Engagement and expectations
• Part-time advisory engagement with flexible hours; surge capacity around fundraising/reporting cycles.
• No conflicts of interest: no competing roles and no commitments that materially limit availability.
• High integrity, confidentiality, and hands-on pragmatism.
