Swedish SW Scale-up in Machine Monitoring seeks Chairperson of the Board or Independent Board Member
This company is a Software scale-up on a mission to bring the power of AI to industrial maintenance companies and equipment OEMs to monitor more machines.
The company is now searching for an Independent Board Member or Chairperson of the Board.
Criteria :
1. Scaling. Experience with scaling up companies, either at board level, as an entrepreneur or through involvement (directly/indirectly) in innovation projects. Experience in converting a technology company into a focused commercial organization. Familiarity with complex sales processes with long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders are considered assets.
2. Strategic partnerships. Experience which can help the management in managing strategic relationships with industry incumbents (i.e. sensor manufacturers and OEMs) through partnerships, reseller or distribution agreements. Experience in dealing with marketing and sales strategies is considered a plus.
3. Board experience. Experience in the governance structure of a Board of Directors in a start-up or scale- up, and its legal obligations is required. Ideally some formal board governance education. Willingness to take a coaching role for the management team and guiding them in growing the company.
4. Industry expertise. Experience in the sensors, machine health or maintenance industry, preferably in an international context. A solid understanding of the dynamics in the value chain, insights of what’s currently happening in the industry, how the company’s technology fits in, and which difficulties it may face when introducing this in the market.
