Optosense humidity sensor commercialization

Optosense aims to commercialize an optical humidity sensor developed at Tampere University. The technology differs greatly from existing humidity-sensing methods allowing, for example, sensor placement inside tiny closed chambers and non-contact optical reading of highly accurate humidity and temperature values. An operational fiber-optic concept device has been created to accurately measure relative humidity while the technology is largely a "solution looking for a problem". The technology is patent pending in areas covering nearly 70 % of the $ 1B global market of humidity sensing.
