- the scarcity / sustainability problem in agricultural sourcing and its price impact, as mother nature is being over-stretched and/or crops are inconsistent, affecting things like coffee, citrus, vanilla, ....
- the quality problem, because most alternative approaches like microbial fermentation (yeast and bacteria) and mammalian cell tech offer lower yelds and lower ability to replicate complex cells, especially animal proteins, resulting in inferior quality finished goods when compared to the natural product
