National Physicians Alliance (NPA)

(Note that in 2027 NPA merged with Doctors for America.) Member of the Board of Directors of the National Physicians Alliance, a national physician organization with the mission of returning the medical profession to its core values of service, advocacy, and integrity. Lead author on NPA’s Health Workforce Reform Policy Statement, the only policy statement from a major physicians group that recognizes the need for reform beyond physicians. Other major initiatives include raising awareness of gun violence as a public health problem, legal challenges to physician free speech, reducing physician conflicts of interest (the “Unbranded Doctor”) and participation in efforts on national health care reform.
