Borsoi Group is an Italian leader in textile machinery, delivering high-performance solutions for the filling, processing, and handling of padded and upholstered products. With Borsoi Recycling (Recycling and Green Innovation), the Group extends this industrial base into circular manufacturing, developing advanced systems for automated sorting, AI/MV-driven separation, delayering, defibering, feedstock preparation, and fibre valorisation—enabling a more efficient and sustainable textile value chain.

I serve as an external Consultant embedded within Borsoi Recycling (Recycling & Green Innovation), acting as the Lead R&D and Innovation Technologist—a role that will continue through all 2026. I support the growth and consolidation of the business unit by converting circular-economy strategy into actionable technology development plans, industrialisation pathways, and IP roadmaps.

My focus is multilayer, multi-material textile recycling for complex products—technical composite structures, soft multilayers, bulky textiles, and technical/laminated constructions—across pre- and post-consumer streams. I lead initiatives to design, integrate, and industrialise recycling solutions, supporting customer projects from feasibility and pilot validation through scale-up, line engineering, and commercialisation readiness. In parallel, I help shape the IP strategy for recycling technologies and machinery by identifying patentable innovations, structuring invention pipelines, and aligning R&D with long-term competitive positioning.

My contribution is structured around five pillars:
(1) recycling machines and lines;
(2) valorisation into semi-finished outputs (carded fibres, consolidated nonwovens, engineered blends);
(3) advanced sorting/handling automation (Machine Vision, Imaging-X, SWIR, hyperspectral);
(4) innovative product development with IP-conscious design; and
(5) contaminants and feedstock preparation (mitigation, conditioning, densification, granulation).

Overall, I bridge R&D, engineering, operations, and commercial/IP strategy to reduce scale-up risk and accelerate time-to-market.
