Vakka-Suomen Puhelin Oy Group includes a subsidiary Teknomeria Oy. Teknomeria is a nationwide network operator whose core business is the leasing of data backbone connections and the sale of related services.
Vakka-Suomen Puhelin was established already in 1896, which means that the company has a 120-year history. The journey from a traditional telephone company to a nationwide ICT service company began in the late 90s, when VSP acquired and established subsidiaries with a long-term business strategy to grow and serve its customers more comprehensively. In the 2000s, telecommunication and IT services were combined with a wide range of contact centers, and at the same time the company's business area expanded from Vakka-Finland to the growth centers of southern and western Finland. In spring 2011, VSP merged its wholly owned subsidiaries into its parent company. The extensive merger further strengthened the company's competitiveness and secured profitable growth.
