Previously Boardio charged a €3,900 success fee only when you started working with an advisor we found. The new model removes the success fee entirely. Posting is free, and if you want to see the full applicant pool you pay a one-time €890 — regardless of whether you hire. No surprise invoices at the end.
You are completely free to start working with any of the three advisors directly. Let us know and we will facilitate the introduction — there is no fee, no further steps, and no obligation to upgrade. The three profiles you receive are a genuine starting point, not a teaser.
Boardio selects three profiles based on fit with your search criteria. We aim to show you the strongest matches so you can make a quick assessment of whether the search is heading in the right direction.
No. Whether you start from your free three or after upgrading to Full Search, there are no further charges. No percentage of advisor compensation, no annual renewal, no hidden fees.
Advisor compensation is agreed directly between you and the advisor — typically equity (0.1–0.5% for early-stage companies), a monthly retainer, or a combination. Boardio does not take a cut and is not involved in the compensation arrangement.
If you would rather have Boardio run the entire search process on your behalf — including active candidate outreach and a fully curated shortlist — we also offer our traditional managed search service. Get in touch and we can discuss which approach fits your situation best.
