Ulrich Wallenhorst Ulrich Wallenhorst has been a manager and executive for over 30 years with extensive leadership, product, market and technology expertise in companies of various sizes (500 – 80,000 people), industries (transportation, logistics, telecommunications, industry, medicine, energy, aerospace, machinery, automation, etc.) and structures, as well as in large listed American corporations.
As the person responsible for several thousand people, he is available to board members, managing directors and shareholders as a competent, external sparring partner and advisor. After graduating with distinction in physics in Osnabrück, he gained 15 years of international leadership and management experience in the family-owned company and technology group HARTING before spending 5 years as Technical Director and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at WEIDMÜLLER Interface GmbH inDetmold. This was followed by a period as Managing Director in the metal-producing German SME sector and as Vice President and Head of Development at the medical technology group B.BRAUN AVITUM.
This was followed by 6 intensive and fully earnings-responsible years of corporate experience as Vice President & CTO at the American group TE CONNECTIVITY (S&P 500 company).
Ex-Tyco Electronics and Ex-AMP) with extensive responsibility in transportation, logistics and industrial businesses with responsibility for the organic and inorganic growth of the industrial division and for the Industrial Solutions segment.
From 2018 to 2023, Mr. Wallenhorst was the Technical Managing Director of the KNIPEX tool brand in Wuppertal.
He has been a board member at subsidiaries in China, the Netherlands, New Zealand, has startup experience in various companies, as well as experience in the initiation and implementation of M&A projects as well as digitalization strategies. He has been responsible for 3 industrial acquisitions, is currently active as a Senior Advisor to TE CONNECTIVITY and has generated the acquisition of ERNI Connectors during this time from initiation to closing.
