About
I am an expert of international and Finnish business law, business contracts and business transactions with more than 20 years of experience. In particular, my expertise includes international contracts and intellectual property law issues for technology and industrial companies (engineering, ICT, defence & aerospace. services, etc.).
Currentely I am the General Counsel of ReOrbit Ltd., a Finnish space technology startup with global business: www.reorbit.space
In the past I have been, among othr things, the General Counsel of a Saudi Arabian defence company, a Senior Legal Counsel, Senior Manager with Ernst & Young (EY) and the Chief Legal Officer and a member of the management team of a globally active Finnish software startup. Earlier I have worked for a relatively large international engineering consultancy, heavy engineering/defence & aerospace and ICT companies as well as several prominent law firms.
On behalf of my employers and their customers I have managed the full life-cycle of numerous strategic high-value commercial contracts (drafting, negotiating, closing, post-contract) with customers, suppliers and other partners for very large and complex projects in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, America and Africa.
In 2016 the contracts negotiated by me created 62.7% of the export sales of the entire defence industry of Finland.
I have also dealt with various issues of corporate, company, competition, HR, M&A and European law as well as compliance issues in an international environment.
I addition, I currently advise Finnish industrial and technology companies in industrial co-operation/offsets associated with the F-35 project, i.e. Finland acquiring new jet fighters from Lockheed Martin, USA.
In addition to a law degree, I have an executive MBA degree from Quantic School of Business & Technology, USA.
I have also been a board member of LähiTapiola Pirkanmaa Mutual Insurance Company.
