Timo Kallela

I%27m a product-driven technology leader and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience building software products and SaaS businesses. As a founding team member at Surveypal and Ticker, I was closely involved in building the technology, products and development teams from the early days and helping the companies grow into established businesses.

Today, I serve as CXO at Master English, an ambitious EdTech scale-up building a mobile-first, AI-powered language learning platform and expanding internationally. My work spans technology strategy, software architecture, product development, AI adoption, digital growth and collaboration with business and technology partners.

Throughout my career, I have worked at the intersection of technology, product and business. I have particular experience in building and scaling SaaS products, developing technology organisations, modernising software platforms, adopting new technologies and supporting international growth. I also bring a hands-on understanding of software development and the ability to translate complex technology topics into business decisions.

I%27m increasingly interested in supporting technology-driven companies as a board member or advisor. I particularly enjoy working with founders and leadership teams who are navigating growth, technology transformation, internationalisation or the challenges of scaling a software business. I aim to bring a pragmatic perspective that combines entrepreneurial experience, technology leadership and a strong focus on creating business value.

Outside of work, I live in the Finnish countryside and enjoy trail running, gardening and challenging myself in new environments. I believe that curiosity, resilience and continuous learning are just as important in leadership as they are in building great products.
