Thomas Wester

I am a senior advisor and transformation leader with more than 30 years of experience supporting organizations in turning strategy into execution. My work focuses on helping both large enterprises and growing companies navigate digital transformation, develop innovative services, and implement strategic change at the operational level.

My background spans several roles including researcher (Ph.D.), entrepreneur, business unit manager, sales leader, and management consultant. This combination has given me a strong ability to connect strategy, technology, and business needs. With deep technical understanding and broad business experience, I am often used as a mediator between business leadership and IT organizations, translating complex challenges into clear and actionable initiatives.

Throughout my career I have led and contributed to transformation programs in large companies as well as several major EU initiatives related to industrial distributed systems. A structured and analytical approach makes it possible to quickly understand complex environments, break down challenges into manageable steps, and guide stakeholders toward practical solutions.

Alongside work with established organizations, I have also advised more than 25 startups on strategy, product development, and growth. Through work with Luminar Ventures and consultancy networks, early-stage companies have been supported using Lean Startup principles to validate ideas, refine business models, and scale effectively.

My role as an advisor is to help organizations align strategy, technology, and people in order to drive sustainable transformation and long-term business value.
