Over the last few years I was developing a company based on an idea I had, a cyber services business. I set the company up to deliver a series of cyber services to companies, with ability to provide automated insurance quotes at the same time if required, something not available in one place in the market. Our model and service were very innovative and predominately aimed at the SME market space, we were interested in the volume play. My position had many facets, strategy, raise finance, define and build of the proposition, set up development in Europe (Budapest) and operations in the UK and Switzerland, and of course grow the business. Our largest client was one of the largest banks in the world who offered our services to all of their SME customers. In addition we worked with a few insurance companies.
I am looking for a new opportunity as I sold my share in the business to my business partner and feel it is now the right time to look at other areas where I can utilise my knowledge and experience.
My career to-date has been predominately based around the financial services market space, as a practitioner as well as a consultant to the industry. In addition, some years ago, again based on an idea I had, I spent five years developing a pensions company with some friends, where we ultimately failed, we could not raise the capital we needed - £1.3 billion. A unique idea which is still relevant today.
The experiences I have gained I believe are well suited for your stated requirements. I have had successes as well as failures, so have a good grasp / knowledge of good and bad and feel I can be a valuable resource for your client going forward.
