I%27ve spent over 25 years lending to SME businesses across every industry sector. As many of these businesses were %27new start%27 or fast growing, understanding their business model, sector, the people behind the business along with how what they were financing, would add to their business was essential. This has given me insight into how businesses operate and how to pick successful businesses. Many of my customers were with me for 10-15 years.
I have set up finance companies, merged failing businesses and managed finance companies in multi jurisdictions.
As an Englishman living in the Netherlands I am also used to and like learning about new ways of doing things.
