Renata Ribeiro is a global executive with experience in strategy, business development, operations as well as managing a business portfolio of over $1.5 billion in revenue. Renata has a combination of 10 years in management consulting with the Boston Consulting Group and Strategy & Co, with almost 15 years in large corporations in the cruise business and cosmetics. She has a balance between strategic mindset and execution in complex environments:

Renata is a member of the Senior Leadership Team at Carnival Cruise Line, the largest brand of Carnival Corporation, the world%27s largest leisure travel company. During her tenure, revenues from Carnival Corporation (NYSE: CCL) grew 40%, net income grew 76% and EPS doubled. Currently Renata is the SVP, Destination Development for Carnival Cruise Line. In this role she is responsible for strategy and development of a portfolio of Caribbean destinations with about $600M in investments in the next few years, including product development, negotiations and investments for shore experiences in 80+ destinations in the Caribbean for all the eight cruise lines within Carnival Corporation.

Renata held multiple positions at Carnival over the past 12 years. As SVP Guest Commerce she was responsible for over $1.5B P&L in onboard revenues across 27 ships and delivered above plan results all consecutive four years. She was also responsible for identifying synergies in onboard revenue (shore excursions, spa, retail, connectivity, casino, photography, art, etc.), across sister cruise lines within Carnival Corporation.

As Vice President of Fleet Deployment and Demand Strategy, she maximized fleet itinerary profitability over 20+ homeports, in more than 120 destinations worldwide, delivered incremental $100M within first 12 months, representing a double digit growth in profitability. During this time she led the international expansion and took the company to Australia. She assessed additional business expansion opportunities in Europe, Asia and Latin America.

Prior to joining Carnival, Renata served as SVP of International Expansion and SVP of Commercial Innovation at Natura & Co. (NYSE: NTCO), the 4th largest beauty company in the world. At Natura, she reported directly to the Board of Directors and later worked directly with the CEO. As head of international strategy, Renata was responsible for the long term growth plan for the company beyond Latin America. Her work during that time laid the groundwork for acquisitions completed in the past 5 years (The Body Shop, Aesop, Avon). The contribution of revenue coming from international operations grew from 5% (2005) to 68% (2019). Natura expanded from 7 to 100 countries and the beauty consultant network now reached 6.3 million vs. 520K in 2005. Natura’s revenue grew 4X in USD in the period and EBITDA doubled.

Renata currently serves in the Advisory Board for the University of Miami Business School/ Graduate program in Business Analytics. She recently joined the Catalyst Women On Board™ Program. Renata earned her MBA from the Wake Forest University School of Business where she received the Luther Award for the Best International Student. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Fundacao Getulio Vargas in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
