Rafael Schwarz is an internationally experienced board advisor and commercial strategist with 20+ years track record in driving significant revenue growth and market expansion for B2B and B2C companies across Europe. Rafael is an expert in sales & marketing leadership, digital commerce, AI transformation, team development, and strategic governance.

Rafael is already serving as Board Advisor for adtech companies Adfidence and Axessible – where he supports ARR growth, provides strategic oversight & governance, and advises on revenue acceleration, GTM- and commercial strategy, and international expansion.

As CRO for content marketing agency TERRITORY Influence, Rafael leads all business development strategies, initiatives and teams across Europe, including AI transformation in sales & marketing, portfolio innovation, and internationalization. His outbound, cross-sell and upsell strategies, consultative c-level engagement, and leadership of cross-functional teams delivered 5Mio in new revenues pa and preferred supplier status with enterprise clients like L’Oréal, LIDL, GSK, BMW or P&G.

Prior to joining marketing agency TERRITORY, Rafael held several marketing & sales leadership roles in global FMCG companies in Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the UK. As Head of Innovation for Henkel, he introduced new innovation management systems for the global beauty care division and won the Fritz Henkel Innovation Award in 2011. As Marketing Director for Mars, he spearheaded the turnaround of the €500M confectionary business in Germany with a new vision, team structure, and portfolio priorities yielding double-digit growth. As global Top 400 Director with Reckitt, Rafael rolled out product initiatives in more than 50 markets and delivered double digit gross margin improvements in collaboration with R&D, factories and supply chain.
During his career, Rafael held full P&L ownership for up to €500M revenues, led cross functional and multi-cultural teams of up to 90 employees, and advised CEOs and boards on growth strategy, digital transformation and innovative commercial practices.

Rafael is a recognized industry thought leader (Forbes, Thinkers360), podcast host (The FMCG Guys), keynote speaker (DMWF, CMO Summit), and LinkedIN Top Voice on AI transformation in marketing & sales, and has won the CRO of the Year Award in 2024,

Rafael holds a master degree in International Business from the University of Vienna, and a post graduate degree in B2B Management from ESADE. He is fluent in English and German, understands French and Spanish and currently lives with his family in Vienna, Austria.
