About

Rael Ginsburg

Founder | Technology Entrepreneur | CTO | Strategic Advisor | AI & Cybersecurity**

I am a technology entrepreneur, founder and CTO with more than 25 years of experience building software businesses, developing emerging technologies and working at the intersection of technology, capital and strategic partnerships.

I have founded and built technology companies from the ground up, including **BetWize / Red Shift Technology**, which was subsequently acquired by William Hill. I later founded **Iceburg Capital** and currently lead **The Quantum Institute (QI)**, an applied R&D company focused on AI, machine learning, neural networks, latent-space AI, cybersecurity, simulation and other emerging technologies.

My experience spans both the **technical and commercial sides of technology businesses**. I can engage deeply with founders and technical teams on the technology itself while also understanding how that technology needs to be positioned for investors, strategic partners and enterprise customers.

## What I Bring to an Advisory Role

I am particularly useful to companies that need someone who can operate across several areas rather than looking at a business through a single functional lens.

### Fundraising & Investor Strategy

I help founders think through:

* How to position a technology business for investors
* Refining the investment proposition and narrative
* Identifying appropriate investor and strategic-capital profiles
* Preparing for investor discussions and due diligence
* Structuring strategic introductions
* Understanding what investors are likely to question
* Connecting technology, market opportunity and commercialisation into a coherent investment case

My approach is relationship-driven and practical. I believe introductions should be based on genuine strategic fit rather than simply maximising the number of investor contacts.

### Technology & AI

My technical background includes software engineering, artificial intelligence, machine learning, neural networks, latent-space AI and simulation.

Through The Quantum Institute, I work on applied R&D across areas including AI, cybersecurity, simulation, defence technology, neuroscience, augmented reality and other emerging technologies.

I am comfortable working with both technical founders and non-technical investors and translating complex technology into commercially understandable propositions.

### Cybersecurity

I have a particular interest in the intersection of **AI and cybersecurity**, including threat intelligence, security platforms, data protection, social engineering intelligence and AI-enabled security.

I can contribute to cybersecurity businesses through technology strategy, product positioning, commercialisation, partnerships and investor positioning.

### Strategic Partnerships & Market Development

I work with founders on identifying and developing relationships with:

* Strategic investors
* Technology partners
* Enterprise customers
* Government and institutional stakeholders
* International commercial partners
* Capital providers

I am particularly interested in situations where a company has strong technology but needs help converting that technology into partnerships, capital and commercial opportunities.

## Founder Perspective

Having built companies myself, I understand the realities of entrepreneurship beyond the pitch deck.

I have experience with product development, software engineering, company formation, intellectual property, fundraising, partnerships, negotiations, acquisitions and scaling technology businesses.

That means my advisory approach is generally hands-on and founder-oriented. I prefer to understand the underlying business, identify where I can create genuine leverage and then focus my time there.

## Where I Can Add the Most Value

I am particularly interested in advising:

**Technology & SaaS**
**AI / Machine Learning**
**Cybersecurity**
**Deep Tech**
**Defence & Security Technology**
**FinTech**
**Emerging Technology**
**Companies preparing for institutional fundraising**
**Founders entering new international markets**

I am also interested in advisory-board and board-level opportunities where my combination of technology, entrepreneurship, capital and strategic-partnership experience can be useful.

## Advisory Philosophy

I don%27t see an advisor as someone who simply attends quarterly meetings and provides opinions.

The most valuable advisor is someone who can open the right door, challenge an assumption, help a founder prepare for an important conversation, understand t
