Polly Marston Van Alstyne

I am a strategic operations professional, with over 20 years of senior and executive level operational experience in SMEs in the UK, US and Asia. Working across industries as diverse as financial management, software development, telecommunications and biotech, my particular area of interest and expertise is scale-up and globalisation of operations, utilising strategic planning, scenario development and financial modelling. I have held board positions in UK companies for more than 12 years. During my most recent role was as the Chief Operating Officer a growing biotech start-up, I co-led equity funding rounds bringing in investment of over £7m and helped to secure grants totalling over £1m. Prior to that role, I spent fourteen years as an executive director at a London based software development company with a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform for mobile telephony. During my time there, I built a professional services department and expanded service operations to Singapore and Brazil. I have an MBA from the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow and a B.Sc. in Foreign Service from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. I am aiming to work with SMEs who are seeking to raise funds and/or grow their operations locally or globally.
