Pekka is sitting at the Oulu University evaluating innovations and inventions from various fields – and especially many University research spin-offs and student teams. Pekka has worked since August 1999 in the field of technology transfer from research bench to industry, previously at the Foundation of Finnish Inventions, and now for the University of Oulu. He has personally evaluated more than 500 (!) business ideas. During this period 40+ research-based start-ups have been established and 100+ licence agreements have been closed between University/Inventor and an industrial licensee.
