Mónica Casañas Morales

I am a Board Director, Limited Partner and angel investor who helps fast growth international companies raise capital, scale, and prepare for IPOs and exits. I have proven success as a director at Airbnb and in start-ups in marketplaces, travel and eCommerce industries as well as a background as an investment banker and private equity executive. I can sit on strategy, M&A, digital transformation and audit committees.

I am currently serving at the Board of SkysTheLimit.org, supporting with
capital raising, internationalization and mentoring of underrepresented
entrepreneurs. I recently served as a non-executive Director for the market-leading online marketplace in Austria, where I coached the executive team on strategy, scaling up and sustainability. As Airbnb’s Country Manager for Spain and Portugal, I created new revenue streams to double the origin and
destination businesses in the region. Prior to Airbnb, I established and scaled
the European market for a US company (Oasis Collections), which grew the fastest and accounted for more than 30% of the business at my departure. I developed the corporate and scale strategy for Privalia, where I raised almost €200M, led a strategic acquisition and guided the company to IPO readiness.
I have my MBA from INSEAD and completed executive coursework at
Harvard Business School for Directors.
