Mark Johnson

I’ve spent 43 years creating products and leading engineering businesses, including a 200-person Tata Motors business with full P&L responsibility and a 350-person organisation at JLR. I’ve led central research, advanced engineering and major changes to how engineering investment is managed.

What I bring as an adviser or board member is the ability to test whether an ambitious product or growth plan will actually work: whether customers want it, the economics hold up, the organisation can deliver it and the risks are understood. I’m particularly useful to companies making big technology or product decisions, scaling engineering across countries, or trying to improve performance without losing what makes their product valuable.
