Marc Philouze is an experienced executive with an international track record as company executive and investor in industries along the Health and Wellness continuum such as Flavor and Fragrance, Food, Nutrition, Personal Care and Industrial Biotechnologies. Mr. Philouze is currently the Managing Principal at AdviBio, LLC, an advisory boutique supporting large and small innovative companies as well as investors in the above-mentioned industries.
Mr. Philouze is the former CEO and President of DianaPlantSciences, an innovator in the sustainable production of bioactive ingredients via plant cell culture. His entrepreneurial undertakings with the company have been recognized among other distinctions with the Nutrition Business Journal’s 2013 Innovation Award and the Nutritional Outlook 2014 “Best of Ingredient Suppliers” Award. Mr. Philouze also managed the North American market for the Food Division of the Diana Group, a leader in providing “Performance from Nature” solutions to its clients in the Food & Beverage ingredient space. Prior to Diana, from 2007 to 2010, Mr. Philouze was a private equity investor with Apax Partners in Europe, focusing on growth equity and leverage buy-out investments in mid-market life sciences and healthcare companies. Earlier in his career, Mr. Philouze held different roles at Pfizer and then Gilead Sciences.
Mr. Philouze earned an MSc in Engineering from Ecole Centrale Paris, a leading engineering school in France, and an MSc in International Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics. He received his MBA from Harvard Business School.
