Marco Andresen

I currently work as WW Chief Operating Officer at Lenovo. Lenovo, a Fortune 500 company, is one of the world´s leading personal technology companies and its culture can be summarized in: ”we do what we say and we own what we do”. In my role I drive the business and daily operations of the company and I am involved in practically all aspects and departments of it.

Before becoming WW COO I was Chief Operating Officer for Lenovo in EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and I have previously been working in a similar roles at Acer (EMEA Vice President) and prior to that I was Managing Director for the Acer subsidiary in UK and Ireland and before UK&I I was in charge of the Swedish subsidiary. I have been living in London, Switzerland and Italy in the last professional years but my %22field%22 is global, covering in principle all countries and markets of the planet.

I am looking to broaden my skills by joining a board and besides a deep knowledge of the IT industry I understand well the retail/e-tail world and I have an interesting international experience that can be applied to companies in many different fields, no matter if producing goods, reselling goods or working with services and solutions.

I am new to boards (besides active roles in smaller non-profit boards and presenting to larger boards) but have been active for some years as an advisor and external director for smaller companies/start-ups and would welcome any interesting assignment to broaden my skills and add value to what probably is a company in growth, change or simply looking for external inputs.
