I am writing to express my interest in joining the Boardio network, with a particular focus on contributing as a board member and senior advisor. With over twenty-five years of experience in European governance, sustainable finance, and innovation-driven development, I bring a strategic perspective that bridges public policy, institutional finance, and private-sector transformation across Europe — with a strong focus on Bulgaria and the wider Central and Eastern European region.
As a former Vice-President of the European Investment Bank (2019–2023), I was responsible for cohesion policy financing, infrastructure and transport investments, digital transformation, and advisory operations across Europe, the Western Balkans, Turkey, and the Eastern Partnership countries. Prior to that, I held several ministerial positions in the Government of Bulgaria, including Minister for Regional Development and Public Works and Minister for the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU 2018, leading major reforms in governance, EU funds management, and infrastructure policy.
This combination of institutional, governmental, and financial expertise enables me to contribute effectively at board level — guiding organisations in strategic positioning, investment planning, and governance. I am particularly motivated to serve on boards of companies and institutions seeking to expand or invest in Southeast Europe, advance the green and digital transitions, and strengthen their long-term competitiveness and sustainability.
Recognised for my integrity, impartiality, and inter-institutional experience, I aim to bring independent, ethical, and results-oriented judgment to every board role I undertake.
