Since 2002 I have been involved in more than 6 startup ventures in the publishing, ad tech and ed tech sectors. My roles have primarily been in the business development/revenue generation departments but I have also been a CEO/COO on several different occasions.
I once had a professor in college tell me that you can sometimes learn more from bad theater than from good and I can confidently say that in the world of startups, I have seen both sides of that coin. Whether it is product/market fit, managing investor relationships, growing a sales team or massaging egos, I have done it all and I very much enjoy the thrill of the chase almost as much as a great outcome.
