I understand the diverse needs of a successful data-leader. Most candidates are either deep technologists who cannot translate technology to decision makers or strategic thinkers who cannot relate the needs of users to the technical team.
I have successfully operationalized GenAI at enterprise scale. Most companies are stuck launching POCs but never driven true value. I have led teams that have successfully rolled out LLM-powered Natural Language Query, an orchestrating RAG agent for 20,000 people, and a field-tool for 5,000 mechanics that%27s used daily. I have been able to do this by focusing on both the end user, but also on the hard and less glorious part of the job, the data. The data needs to be available, secure, governed, and have a semantic layer. This all takes hard work.
The types of companies that would benefit from my skills include:
- PE-backed mid-market industrials that want to move from gut-feel to data-driven, especially those in pricing, fleet/asset management, field service, or distribution.
- Small to mid-size businesses going through a data modernization initiative.
- Enterprise companies stuck in GenAI POC purgatory who need someone who has done it before.
