Kari Keinänen

I am interested in board positions or advisory board memberships in e.g. SMEs. I have worked with a number of boards as a board member, CEO and business leader in various situations of change and transition. During this time, the role of boards has clearly strengthened and, at its best, developed into a broadly supportive and developmental resource for business management.

Personally, I have seen and managed businesses at very different stages and of different sizes. I have been involved in getting struggling companies back on their feet, driving carve-out and M&A projects to the finish line and growing businesses to become the strongest in their sector in Finland.

I completed the Chamber of Commerce%27s Approved Board Member (HHJ) training in November-April 2023 and I am also business continuity professional (by Business Continuity Institute)

I will be able to bring my experience to the board:
- Strong experience in business continuity and risk management. Continuity planning has been strongly highlighted by the crises of recent years. However, continuity planning and risk management are part of the normal business operations and ensuring this is on the agenda of management and the board (in particular target setting and monitoring at top level)
- Awareness of cyber threats and the responsibility of the board for them
- Extensive industry knowledge through continuity management of different businesses. Strongest industry expertise through other experience: ICT/security/networks, software business and service business in general.

Experience in domestic and international operations and with companies of very different sizes.
