I’m an experienced researcher and professional in sustainable business and innovation.
I have a genuine interest in helping organizations to create value via sustainability. My key expertise areas are sustainable business models, understanding transition risks and enabling systemic change, and bringing together stakeholder management and collaborative innovation.
I am an Associate Professor of Innovation Management at the University of Vaasa School of Technology and Innovations. I have led research and product development teams and worked in business development, technology marketing, and innovation. I am currently a principal investigator for EU Horizon and Academy of Finland funded research projects ranging from energy transition and distributed renewable generation to transition risks in aviation and shipping. I hold a Ph.D. from Aalto University School of Business. I have worked and trained executives in the most prominent companies, including Nokia, Microsoft, Metso, Valmet Technologies, Fortum, Telia, Caruna, OP Group, Varma, and Outotec.
