
JOSEPH ROSS S. JOCSON PhD MNSA ChE is a graduate and a licensed Chemical Engineer from the University of Santo Tomas. Completed the Sun Tzu Art of War-Business Warfare at the Asian Institute of Management and holds a Masters Degree in National Security Administration from the National Defense College of the Philippines class of 2014. He is then commissioned as a Lieutenant Colonel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines by then President Benigno Aquino Jr.
Dr. Jocson is a Commissioner of the National Solid Waste Management Commission under the Office of the President representing the Manufacturing and Packaging Industry and concurrently the President of the Asian Packaging Federation, a 14-country Asian organization, with headquarters in Bangkok, Thailand. Also served as the Consultant to the President of the Development Academy of the Philippines and a Mentor for GoNegosyo and DTI.
In the private sector, he is (1) the President of the RMR Group of Companies, a property development company, wherein he handles and oversees the operations of the companies five community malls and also the current property developments plus several of its franchise restaurants; and (2) the Vice-President of GS1 Philippines, a global company present in 116 countries.
As a Brigade Officer of the 1303rd NCR Regional Community Group in Fort Bonifacio, responsible for the security of the major cities of Metro Manila, he has been awarded numerous awards and recognitions such as the Bronze Cross Medal for risk of life and was also awarded thrice as Hero of the Year by Gawad Filipino in 2020, 2022 and 2023. He was also awarded three Honoris Causa Doctorate Degrees by different educational institutions.
With almost 30 years experience in management and in several government functions, he is quite equipped with regards to the capability in handling people, corporations and departments.
