30 year career in the speciality chemicals sector, including senior level general management and commercial roles. Extensive international business experience, with a focus on Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.

Relevant experience:

* Executive board experience with Clariant in the UK and Norway. Reporting to board on the performance of the business, future plans and strategy.

* Current Non-Executive Director of Chorus Education Trust. With other board members I am responsible for ensuring strong governance and financial oversight for the Chorus organisation, supporting and holding executive leadership to account. I serve on board committees for strategy and resources (including finance).

* Independent consultant and business adviser. I am retained by a small UK-based chemical manufacturer to support business development and have effectively developed a pipeline of opportunities, with one significant opportunity currently being commercialised. I am also retained by a mid-sized US-based chemical manufacturer and distributor, supporting strategy and growth in oilfield chemicals with a focus on the Middle East.
