For twenty years I have done one thing well: turning regulation into operations.

I have done it from the top of large enterprises. As Chief Privacy Officer at Sarepta Therapeutics, I built a global GDPR/CCPA privacy program and drove it to 100% corporate adherence. At Sunovion Pharmaceuticals, I established the IT Corporate Compliance & Ethics function, delivered SOX and HIPAA compliance, and was selected by the Chief Commercial Officer to resolve the data access, integrity, and security failures that were holding back the business—work that contributed to significant increase in revenue.

I have also done it from the founder%27s seat. I run Transparency Inc., a global compliance and governance consultancy, and I am building GovernAI, an AI governance platform for regulated companies.

That combination is what I would bring to this board. I know how a Fortune 500 organization makes a decision, and I know what a startup must accomplish with no headcount and a hard deadline. Most advisors bring one of those perspectives; I bring both, in AI governance, data privacy, and cybersecurity—the risk domains that will matter most over the next five years.

My value to Sarepta is as a translator: someone who can read the EU AI Act or a new privacy law, tell you what it means for you specifically, and tell you honestly whether what you have built would hold up under a regulator%27s scrutiny.
