Gregory Shepard

Gregory Shepard is a founder, investor, author, and global keynote speaker known for developing systems that make entrepreneurship more clear, fair, and predictable. He has built and sold twelve companies, completed four investor-backed exits, and invested in eight startups with multiple successful outcomes.

He is the creator of the Startup Lifecycle and Startup Architecture, frameworks built from real-world experience and a five-year global research initiative. His work identifies the underlying patterns that drive startup success and failure, reframing entrepreneurship as a structural discipline shaped by systems, processes, and organizational design.

Shepard previously served as Chief Strategy Officer and later Chief Technology Officer at eBay Enterprise Marketing Solutions, where he led major industry consolidation and growth initiatives. His company AffiliateTraction was acquired in an award-winning transaction recognized in the $250M–$1B range.
