Gonzalo Velasco

With over 20 years of experience in the aviation industry, I have specialized in designing and managing airports. My career has taken me to several airports worldwide, including Heathrow. At Ferrovial Airports, I have held executive and board roles, where I have been instrumental in developing long-term business plans, leading acquisition projects valued at $15 billion, and overseeing divestment projects worth $5 billion. I have managed a portfolio of airports, earning the title of Best Airport Portfolio Manager in Europe twice. My responsibilities have also included developing expansion plans and transforming airports post-acquisition. In recent years, I have also focused on Innovation and Sustainability, where I have pioneered the creation of a vertiports business model for advanced air mobility.
