Gisli Olafsson

I bring a rare mix to a board: deep technology and AI fluency (two-time CTO and author of two books on responsible AI adoption), executive leadership as a CEO and company-scaler which also has a governance experience from serving in parliament and on several boards. My through-line is resilience: helping institutions navigate crisis, AI disruption, and transformation with composed, ethical judgment. I ask the questions that expose weak strategy, and I press for accountability without theatrics.

I add the most value where technology or AI is reshaping the mission and the risk landscape: mission-driven and AI-adopting companies, humanitarian, development, and resilience organizations, and scaling ventures that need senior judgment on strategy, technology, and people. I contribute governance discipline and a genuinely global, cross-sector perspective, and I care most about the long-term health of the institution and the people it serves.
