I have a solid background in the telecommunications and data center services in the technology area, with C-Level experience and certified in corporative governance board member by the Brazil IBGC institute. I am an Electronic Engineer and Master from the Universidade Estadual de Campinas - UNICAMP. I also have two MBA´s and international experience mainly in the Latin America region.
From 1977 up to January 2022, I worked at the LUMEN (ex Impsat Fiber Network, Global Crossing, Level 3 and Centurylink Comunications). The last position was of Vice President of Customers Operation in Latin America. LUMEN (NYSE: LUMN) is a technology leader delivering edge computing, hybrid-cloud connectivity, adaptive networking and network-embedded security solutions to customers around the world.
In his position at LATAM I was leading a team of about 400 people, in several countries in the region, serving more than six thousand customers in telecommunications and outsourcing services.
I managed an annual budget of 15 million of dollars in contracts of outsourcing and operational services to finance, retail and petroleum segments in the region.
From 1993 up to January 2022 I have been a statutory Director of the Lumen in Brazil, also accumulating the representation of the legal entity in regulatory bodies as, ANATEL – Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações and CREA – Conselho Regional de Engenharia. He is member of the company%27s Advisory Board in Brazil.
I am a member of the IBGC Governance Ethics Committee and of the Innovation & Startups committee of the São Paulo Interior Chapter of the IBGC and also IBGC event´s moderator.
With a solid background, management experience and personal skills, in 2022 I left LUMEN for a sabbatical period that began with a course on Digital Transformation at MIT - Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Now I am working as a private international consultant and joined in 2022 the Viva Business Community in Brazil as Advisor.
