I’ve spent 2 decades challenging progress at the intersection of risk, capital, and climate action, steering portfolios, decarbonisation pivots, and regulatory storms. Experience | across the full climate & infrastructure capital lifecycle: catastrophe risk modelling (Moody%27s RMS), reinsurance and insurance-linked securities underwriting spanning flood, windstorm and earthquake risk (Hiscox), Solvency II and regulatory capital structuring for European insurers and banks (KPMG, McKinsey), and seven years as Principal Group Risk Officer overseeing enterprise risk governance for a €300bn-AUM insurer across 14 countries (NN Group). At BCG, advised on climate transition and capital structuring for clients across insurance, energy, and industrial sectors on their decarbonization paths. Board Company-certified (2025). European Climate Pact Ambassador for the Netherlands, nominated by the European Commission%27s DG Clima, acting in a personal capacity. Guest lecturer in sustainable finance and insurance, European University Institute, Florence.
