Dr. Daniel Tan

I bring more than 30 years of experience across entrepreneurship, financial services, business development, leadership, tourism, corporate education and higher education. As a scholar-practitioner of human judgement, I combine commercial experience with an understanding of how people, customers and organisations actually make decisions.

As an advisor or board member, I contribute an independent perspective on strategy and growth, commercial development, customer relationships, people and leadership, organisational communication, and the human side of AI adoption. I am particularly useful as a sounding board for founders and leadership teams navigating growth, change, positioning or complex people and customer decisions.

My strongest fit is with founder-led and privately held companies, SMEs, professional and education businesses, financial services and fintech companies, and startups or scale-ups where commercial experience and people-centred strategic thinking can complement the existing leadership team.

I am particularly interested in organisations that value an experienced external perspective, constructive challenge and practical judgement rather than simply another consultant.
