Mr. Fernández has developed his career in leadership positions in Management Consulting and IT Services with increasing international responsibilities in Europe and Latin America.
Last positions have been Vice President of Integrated Technology Services Sales Europe, Managing Partner for Consulting Services in IBM Mexico, General Manager of INSA (Viewnext now, an IBM affiliate +4000HC) and Director of Operations for IBM Spain, Portugal, Greece and Israel,.
Currently leads Global Technology Services in IBM Digital Group Europe and leading the Digital Transformation of professional and consultancy services business in IBM Europe.
In his latest position at IBM he leadered the organization of Global Tecnnology Services with IBM Digital Group for Europe and responsable of the Digital Transformation of the IT Services business in IBM Europe.
Participates in different committees at Institute of Engineering of Spain, Entrepreneurs Circle and the Spanish Association of Naval Architects and Ocean Engineers. Has been invited in several roundtables as guest speaker about Digital Transformation. Has been leading several initiatives to introduce Industry 4.0 technologies in Shipbuilding Sector, in special, in what relates to Artificial Intelligence.
Mr. Fernandez is an active mentor of entrepreneurs of start-ups through the Mentors Network of Madri+d and Business Angels Forum of IESE and Blue Ocean.
Recently, he has been appointed as President of the Professional Association of Naval Architects and Marine and Oceanic Engineers of Spain.
Currently he is non executive director of companies of tech services and engineering services, Academical in the Spanish “Real Academia de la Mar”, lecturer about Digital Transformation and Industry 4.0 and collaborates as business mentor of tech start up in the Madri+d network.
