
Didem has 30+ years of leadership and P&L experience in management and oversight of multinational companies’ entities. She has built a reputation for high ethical standards and integrity, creative strategic thinking and operational excellence.
Didem most recently managed a region with 100 million Euro potential comprising Southern European countries, Turkey, Israel and the Sub-Saharan area. Prior to the enlargement of her region, Didem led the full P&L of both Turkey and Israel, tripled sales of the former and- quadrupled top line of the latter. Didem sat in the C-suit also before as a Managing Director of UCB for 6 years. Her top line was exceeding 75 million Euros. Whilst being the fastest growing multinational company as per IMS records, her bottom-line growth was even higher than top line increases. Market leadership on all fronts was achieved during her tenure. Besides these C-suite positions, Didem hold various positions in strategic business unit management, business development, marketing and sales. She has gained extensive experience in distributor and toll manufacturer management over the years. She ensured in all her roles that proper opportunity and risk management was materialized alongside full compliance in all areas whilst obtaining sustainable high-level results consecutively.
Didem keeps a healthy balance between caring about and growing people and results. Under her lead one of her organizations was elected the most popular pharmaceutical company by unsolicited votes of 2770 independent pharmaceutical employees in 2007.
Other than her above roles in corporate management Didem worked for five+ years as a management consultant where she mostly advised CEO’s, C-suit and VP level customers. She actively led and completed an eight figure M&A for one of her client’s alongside with top tier investment bankers. She was also a consulting partner in a known venture capital during this period. Didem gained outstanding experience in C-suit support and a clear understanding of the difference between oversight and management.
Didem is at the same time a curious scientist and a cosmetics formulator, holds a 20-year patent for her invention of a highly specific, functional cosmetic. As a brand creator she established an e-commerce start-up around her formulations and was nominated as the most promising venture by top tier bankers of Garanti Bank/now BBVA and a leading university Bogazici University which resulted in a two full page printed interview in the Economist.
Didem has a total of around seven years of board experience as a board director, board auditor of profit and non-profit organizations within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology and educational sectors. She participated actively in pharmaceutical market access and digital strategic transformation decision group committees during her most recent board member position.
