After leading a couple of startups in Mexico, including Pacaso, the fastest unicorn in history, I proved that the best combo is being a lawyer and understanding business. Understanding businesses and law, allows me to create environments where things can practically happen, where risks are correctly measured, and where platforms are strategically designed for enterprises to grow and develop. The entry and growth of any company into a new and challenging region depends on people who understand how law and businesses work in different countries and can adapt to new ventures in new markets.
My experience as a lawyer relies on cross-border transactions and with multinational clients, many of them former American and European start-ups entering Mexico. My view is not just to set up a company in Mexico, but to adapt a business and make it viable within the whole Latin-American region.
From my board experience, I currently advise 3 multinational companies, 2 of which are listed (one in Switzerland, and one in the US).
