Ben Van Erck

I’m Ben Van Erck, Founder and CEO of Refracted Security, with a background in incident response, crisis management, and digital forensics. Earlier in my career, I was a Partner at EY, where I advised top-tier organizations on cybersecurity strategy and governance and guided emerging cybersecurity startups as they scaled. Building on that, I recently launched my own cybersecurity startup, giving me first-hand experience in growing a business from the ground up.

On an advisory board, I bring the combination of corporate governance experience, startup insight, and deep technical expertise. I help leaders translate cyber risk into clear strategic decisions, balancing resilience, compliance, and innovation. My value is in bridging executives, investors, and technical teams so that cybersecurity becomes not just a defense, but a driver of business trust and long-term value.
