Andrew Thomson

Former KPMG senior Partner with a strong background in Management Consulting, business growth and international, high-growth markets (esp. China, SE Asia and Russia). I have lived in Moscow, Singapore, Bangkok, Shanghai and Hong Kong, but am now based in the UK. I believe that I have a strong Board proposition, based on my wide-ranging global experience, breadth of expertise and network connections.

Having finished my KPMG career as Head of Automotive for Asia Pacific, and also Deputy COO for the Region (Revenues $4 billion; 31,000 people; APAC Board Member), I then moved into the Executive Search, Board Advisory and Leadership Consulting business, working with recognized global firms. Most recently, I have gained strong expertise in leadership assessment, executive selection and recruitment, succession planning, etc.

Throughout my career, I have been focused on Industrial businesses and today, I work mostly in the Automotive, e-Mobility, Energy, CleanTech & Renewables sectors. I have significant Board experience - with SMEs, not-for-profit and larger organizations - and I am qualified as a %22Certified Chair%22 by the Advisory Board Centre.

I believe that I can be of particular use to expanding businesses in the Industrial sectors mentioned above, and also to professional services or other firms with an interest in growth and/or managing their operations better.
