I bring over 17 years of executive leadership experience that ranges from heading business units and global functions for top multinationals in several industries, to growing and advising impactful start-ups across sectors.
I currently lead New Business Development & Innovation at IKEA. I enjoy investing and engaging with organizations driving sustainable growth and positive impact. Before joining IKEA, I led global functions across Supply Chain, R&D and Engineering for leading multinationals in Food Processing & Packaging (Tetra Pak), Medical Device (Coloplast) and Automotive (Rotrex – A.P. Moller-Maersk) industries. I co-founded Intermica S.A., an industrial insulation EPC leader in Central America where I am a board member. I enjoy advising growing SMEs and start-ups in different sectors on a variety of areas, from international growth strategy, to sustainable supply chain development, to innovation, strategic partnerships and ventures.
Besides extensive executive and non-executive training from some of the best corporate academies, I hold Mechanical and Industrial Engineering degrees from Universidad Politécnica de Valencia (Spain) and Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (Denmark), an Executive MBA with specializations in sustainability and innovation from University of Reading, University of Cambridge and Harvard Business School respectively (UK & US).
I have Guatemalan, Spanish and Swedish nationalities and live with my family in Malmö, Sweden.
