Jan Backman

In my previous roles I have focused on strategic and commercial advice and execution, both as investment partner and board member in smaller startups during a period and currently as strategic advisor to the management of our group of companies within media distribution and telecom related services. My areas of expertise are marketing strategy, partnering and business model development and my industry experience is focused on internet based applications, media, telecom, consumer electronics and mobile business of different kind - all across the value chain. I have an international, Nordic, German and Swedish outlook after working in various roles at Siemens, Ericsson, Sony, Fujitsu and lately in Swedish TV operator Boxer/Teracom. After a couple of years living in Munich I speak fluent German and ski decently downhill. To you, the board, in an expanding smaller to mid sized company I can offer strategic insight, , 20 years experience and a creative an open mind. Since 2006 I am coaching smaller companies in Venture Cup East, and am a member of Styrelseakademin since 2013.
