Mats Forsberg

I see myself as a Business Developer. Developing marketing strategies with the purpose of gaining growths and a sustainable competitive advantage has always been a part of my job in one way or another. My first jobs were within market communications but I soon realized that I could accomplish much more in roles such as business and product management. In these positions I could work much more comprehensively with customer demands which I thought would be much more challenging. Working 15 years with commercialization of technology knowledge in the ICT business when it developed from just delivering plain old telephony services to data communication, mobile telephony and Internet services was an invaluable experience.

Today, as Advisor at The EU Bureau for Industry and Commerce I help companies and other organizations in maximizing the advantages of the EU membership. I not only find EU Grants and other public funding schemes for my clients projects but I also give ideas about what kind of new business development projects that could be created and financed with EU funding.

With experience from organizations like the European Commission’s network Enterprise Europe Network, BT Global Services and highly entrepreneur driven organizations like Tele2 I have gained experience of various business cultures. Being able to see problems and possibilities from different perspectives is therefore something that comes natural for me. In my spare time I train swimming with Polisen Masters and play tennis at Enskede Lawn tennis club.
