While I was at Citigroup and Fullerton Financial Holdings, I served on the Boards of several subsidiaries and affiliates which included public and private companies. As CFO and Corporate Development & Planning Head at the parent companies, I was able to able to assist the Boards of the subsidiaries and affiliates to get an in-depth understanding of the financial performance of the companies, the accounting and audit related issues, compliance and governance related matters in addition to evaluation of business strategies and impact and implication of investments and M&A related activities.

I supported complete transparency at the Board ensuring all Board members right to express their views and for the Board to logically arrive at conclusions based on the merits of the discussions at the Board meetings. And most importantly, kept the interests of all stakeholders in mind and not just the majority shareholders.
