Reagrio’s phase one mission is to make South Carolina the first carbon negative State in America. Reagrio and the University of South Carolina have engaged with a number of partners around the State and internationally, from Afterschool programs, workforce training to organizations ensuring that all organic material is utilized in combination with Reagrio`s biochar, a unique mix of living microbes and a number of mycorrhizae.
The solution will not only capture enough carbon dioxide to make South Carolina carbon negative, it will also improve the yields, both in quantity and quality, which will improve revenues to the farmers. This will lead to healthier food in the consumers plates, without increasing the prices for the consumers. As a consequence, farmers have the opportunity to improve their livelihood in addition to improving the health and value of their land.
