A significant part of my role as a senior partner in a top 15 public accounting firm has been to understand and assess corporate risk; evaluate the existing processes in place to managing that risk; develop strategies and recommendations for the management of risk and to present those three elements to senior management and the directors of my clients in a manner that is clearly understandable and actionable.
As the chair of the audit committee for the nation’s largest privately held mortgage sub-servicer, my role is to insure that the organization is properly managing corporate risk in one of the most, if not the most highly regulated industries in the U.S. The nature of the regulatory compliance requirements present challenges far beyond mere non-compliance. As a director, my role also includes making sure that the organization is managing that risk in a manner that allows for growth in a profitable and sustainable manner.
I have a unique combination of risk management, finance, technology and operational skills that allow me to provide clients and the organizations that I serve with valuable strategic advantages.
